Repair Bench Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026 (nicknames in the weekly league, game version 1.5.0; web version in the browser and its anonymous play statistics; October 10, 2026: league crown for VIP members, game version 1.4.0)
Repair Bench is a game by BIRIM AJANS YAZILIM LIMITED SIRKETI. You can play without creating an account or giving your name or email. From version 1.1.1 the game also has optional online features (invites, friends, gifts and a weekly league); they are described below.
Data stored on your device
Game progress (coins, gems, levels, upgrades, daily tasks), settings, language choice, purchase transaction identifiers and cached purchase entitlements are stored locally. For the online features the device also keeps your random player ID, its secret key, your friend code and the IDs of rewards already applied. Removing the app normally removes this local data.
Analytics and crash diagnostics
Release versions may use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to process app interactions, app-instance and device information, and crash diagnostics. We use this information to understand tutorial and repair completion and to fix faults. We do not place names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, microphone recordings or game text into analytics events.
Optional rewarded advertising
Google Mobile Ads is contacted only when advertising is enabled for the release. A rewarded video is optional and the repair loop remains playable without it. Where required, Google's consent form is shown before ads can be requested and an in-app privacy choices entry remains available. Google may process device identifiers, IP-derived information, ad interactions and diagnostics according to the choices and law that apply to you.
Advertising measurement with Meta (Android)
From Android version 1.2.2, release versions of the game include the Meta (Facebook) SDK for app events, so we can measure which of our ads on Facebook and Instagram led to installs and in-game activity. The SDK starts only after the Google consent check has finished. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it starts only if you consented to storing or accessing information on your device and to measuring advertising performance; if you later withdraw that consent through the in-app privacy choices, the game stops it and does not start it again unless you consent again. Test builds never start it.
When it runs, Meta receives: the app install and app opens; completion of the tutorial; reaching levels 3, 5 and 10 (only the level number); the type, value and currency of ads shown in the game; your device's advertising ID (unless you deleted or reset it in your device settings) and a random identifier created by the Meta SDK; and device and app information such as device model, operating system version, language, time zone and app version, together with the IP address of the request. To measure purchases, the game gives RevenueCat that random identifier and RevenueCat collects the device's advertising ID; RevenueCat then forwards purchase events (product, price and currency) to Meta. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, nickname, friend code or anything you type in the game, and we do not use Meta login. The iOS version does not include the Meta SDK.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes payment for optional in-app purchases (gem packs, one-time packs such as Workshop Supporter) and the optional auto-renewing VIP Pass subscription. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, store transactions, subscription status and entitlement status so purchases can be delivered, restored, renewed, refunded or revoked. Subscriptions are managed or cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings. We do not receive your payment card details.
Online features: invites, friends, gifts and league
When the game starts it registers with our own game server (oyun.birimajans.com, and oyun.164.92.212.139.sslip.io as its fallback address), which we run on a DigitalOcean server in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The server creates a random player ID, a secret key and a six-character friend code for you. No account, email address, real name, contacts or location is sent.
The server stores: your random player ID and friend code; a one-way hash of a device identifier (on iOS a random ID kept in the device keychain, on Android the Android ID), hashed on the device and hashed again on the server, used only to prevent invite-reward abuse; your platform (iOS or Android) and game version; game numbers (level, total earnings, total customers, decorations you own, weekly league score and tier); your optional nickname; friendships, gifts and invite connections between players and the rewards they created; and nickname reports. It also keeps daily totals of events such as "invite shared", without player IDs.
Who can see it: your nickname and game numbers are shown to players who are your friends in the game (a friendship is created when one of you enters the other's friend code or opens their invite link), and your nickname is shown on your invite page to anyone who opens your invite link. Players in your weekly league group see your score and, if you chose one, your nickname; players without a nickname are shown with a generated name. A nickname reported by two different players is removed automatically and its owner cannot pick a new one for 7 days. The share card you can create shows your level, league tier, weekly earnings, friend code and link, never your nickname.
If you choose a nickname, it is stored on our server and shown to other players in your weekly league group and to friends you add. Do not use your real name or contact details. You can change it in Settings, and other players can report a nickname. Nicknames are optional (3 to 16 characters). Nicknames with contact details, links, long number sequences or offensive words are rejected, and a nickname reported by two different players is removed automatically. You can remove a friend at any time; gifts and visits work only between friends. There is no chat.
League crown for VIP members (from game version 1.4.0, when the feature is switched on): your subscription status is verified by our game server and shown as a crown in the league. For this, the game uses your random player ID as your user ID at RevenueCat, and our server asks RevenueCat whether that ID has an active VIP Pass; RevenueCat may also notify our server when a subscription changes so the check can be repeated. The server keeps only the end time of the active subscription and the time of the last check. It does not store the product, price, store receipt or any payment details, and the game cannot mark itself as a subscriber. Players in your weekly league group and your friends in the game see the crown next to your entry; it disappears when the subscription ends. Earlier game versions do not use this.
On iOS, if you are signed in to Game Center, your weekly earnings and total customers are submitted to Apple Game Center leaderboards under Apple's privacy policy. On Android, the Google Play Install Referrer is read once to pick up an invite code from an invite link.
IP addresses are used only in memory: to limit request rates and to withhold the inviter's reward when the inviter and the invited player were seen on the same network in the last 72 hours (a keyed hash of the address is kept in memory only, never written to disk). Our web server logs store IP addresses shortened (IPv4 to the first two parts) and never store your player key. Log files are rotated by size.
Retention and deletion: online data is kept while the online features are operated; there is no automatic deletion period yet. Uninstalling the app does not delete it from the server. You can clear your nickname at any time (Friends, Invite tab: empty the nickname field and save) and remove a friend from their visit screen in the Friends tab. To delete all online data linked to you, email aydin@birimajans.com with the friend code shown in the Friends panel; we then delete your player record together with its friendships, gifts, rewards and league entries.
Web version (browser)
Repair Bench can also be played in a web browser, on Y8 (y8.com) and on our own page at repair-bench-1f598.web.app/oyun. The web version has no in-app purchases and none of the online features above (invites, friends, gifts, league), and it does not include Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, the Meta SDK or RevenueCat. Game progress is kept in your browser's storage.
Anonymous play statistics: to see whether players come back and where new players stop, the web version creates a random number in your browser the first time it runs and keeps it in the browser's storage and in the game's save data (if you are signed in to a Y8 account, the save data is also kept in your Y8 cloud save). The game sends this random number to our game server (oyun.birimajans.com) together with the site you played on (for example Y8), the game build, the date on your device, a session count and simple counters, most of them in rough time ranges: loading started, finished or failed; first tap; first repair and tutorial steps; total play time passing 1, 5 and 15 minutes; the screen you left from; an ad being shown; and browser errors. These requests are sent without cookies and without the page address or referrer.
The server stores only a keyed one-way hash of the random number, the day you first played, the number of sessions, the days on which you came back, and daily totals of the counters. It does not store the random number itself, your IP address or your browser details. If the game is loaded from a website other than the ones above, the server also counts that website's domain name per day. IP addresses are used only in memory to limit request rates; our web server logs are handled as described above. As with the online features, there is no automatic deletion period yet. You can switch these statistics off at any time in the game's Settings ("Anonymous play stats"); the browser then sends nothing more to our server. Clearing the site data in your browser removes the random number from it.
On Y8, Y8 shows the game's ads (the game requests ads only through Y8's SDK; we add no other ad network), provides the optional Y8 account sign-in and cloud save, tells the game the language of the site and counts plays. The game also sends Y8 a few play statistics: the session number, the seconds until the first delivery and until the tutorial is finished, the level reached, and the shop areas and branches opened. Y8 processes this under the Y8 Privacy Policy.
Sharing, retention and children
We use the processors above to operate, measure and support the app; we do not sell personal information. Provider retention depends on their configured service and legal requirements. Repair Bench is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children for personal information.
